Waste Management and Alternative Energy is the key sector where The Private Equity UA investment group is active. Mainly we are focused on Biogas technology that allows producing methane from organic wastes. The technology is used in agriculture and waste management (mechanical biological treatment, MBT). The Private Equity UA group provided advisory services to more than 10 biogas projects in CIS, 3 of which are already constructed and operating. We have unique experience in the field in Ukraine. Below is the description of one of our projects in the field.

Also the Group is active in project development in other Alternative Energy and Biofuel production sectors, including bio-ethanol production, pellets factories, wind and solar farms, small hydropower stations.

BIOFUEL INTEGRATED PARK

The Project includes bioethanol, biogas and biodiesel production lines. All lines are integrated to use the wastes of one another. The Project includes 5 divisions: bioethanol (production of bioethanol from grain), biogas (producing biogas from bioethanol wastes), CHP (Combined Heat and Power production from biogas), biodiesel (producing biodiesel from algae that are grown using the wastes of CHP, CO2 and thermal power in particular) and production of organic materials (biofertilizers from biogas wastes and Astaxanthin from algae). The Project is planned at the base of technology from USA, EU and Ukraine.

Total Project budget is 25 000 000 Euro.

Annual estimated EBITDA 14 000 000 Euro.

Estimated ROI – 70%. Investment term – 5 years.
